Welcoming our new team member: Nina Egli joins as PhD student

From astrophysics to hydrogeology: We are very happy that Nina decided to switch gears and joined the DeltAs team as PhD student.

Nina holds a M.Sc. in Physics from ETH Zurich and has previously worked in the field of astrophysics, namely on the formation of planetary-mass brown dwarfs. In the DeltAs project, she is part of the hydrogeological modelling team as a PhD student at the Université de Neuchâtel. Focusing on the Red River delta, her goal is to build a detailed, stochastic model of the delta’s stratigraphy. She will further use groundwater modelling tools to study groundwater flows in the delta.

Please join us in giving Nina a warm welcome! We are thrilled to have her on board and wish her all the best for her PhD project!
